Band rehearsals have begun again in preperation for our anniversary celebration. Reearsals are every Friday night, starting at 8PM. We're working on new pieces. Guests welcome to sit-in and play or just listen. Check the Facebook link for up-to-date info and changes.
We're currently taking requests for parades and concerts in the Spring and Summer. Some short-notice performances have just been added for February. Musicians, make sure you check-in and let the Steve or Dave know if you'll be available.
The Filarmonica Artista Amadora was created in 1980 by mostly Portuguese imigrants. They met to rehears and provide music for mostly traditional festivals throughout the bay. Today, we still perform for many traditional festivals throughout norther California. We've expanded into providing musical instruction for people of all ages and welcome musicians of all ages and skill levels to join our rehearsals and perform with us.
